Natural Dye Sampler Kit - Indigo

We've created this pack so you can explore the wonders of working with natural Indigo Dye! This Kit includes everything you will need to successfully dye your small textile item (tee shirt / wrap / yarn) made from cellulose fibre (ie cotton, linen) or protein fibre (ie wool, silk).

This pack will guide you to follow the 1-2-3 Indigo VAT method which is fun and easy!

Originally created by botanist & chemist Michel Garcia, this method is very easy and great for beginners. Our kit will give you the joy of working with indigo but at a manageable scale.

The Indigo Dye Vat in an exhaustive vat, which means it can be used multiple times, but will reduce in intensity with use. Indigo will perform deepest shades at the beginning so you should bear this in mind when working with your projects to commence with those pieces you want darkest. The more the vat is used, the lighter & softer the shades will be, all the way down to palest sky blue. 

This Indigo Sampler Kit Contains; 

15g Indigo Extract
25g Lime
45g Fructose Mordants
3 Marbles

The Kit also includes a guide on how to have fun with Indigo dyes. From tie dye to shibori, the possibilites are limited only by your imagination!

The volume of dye in this kit is enough to dye a garment or tea towel, or more if tie dyeing / paler shades are desired.
