Our scarves are made of ethically sourced 100% natural cotton. Hand-loomed in India, which means the cotton is machine spun hand-spun by women in rural villages of Bihar and the weave is woven on a loom in the same region. Dyed by hand in Australia using 100% natural dyes, each scarf meticulously trimmed by the hands of local artisans. Like Khadi, it breathes in summer, is warm in winter and is highly regarded for its durability, soft-feel and versatility. We have deliberately created oversized scarves so that you can wear and drape your scarf as a fashion item for all seasons and also a regular option for more traditional scarf wearing.

We do our best to represent colour accurately with our natural dyes however you can expect slight variations to colours in tone and shades primarily from variance in individual screen quality via phone, laptop or desktop.

Lilac love

I bought a lilac Fabric of Humanity hand loom scarf to gift to a special family with the idea that it be a wrap for their new baby. Knowing the heartfelt love and care with which these items are made makes me feel happy. What better gift for a newborn than to be swaddled in hand spun, hand loomed, plant dyed goodness. A beautiful gift from nature made with love. 💜
